Snail Mail, also known as Lindsey Jordan, was born and raised in the suburbs of Baltimore. She began classical guitar training at the age of 5 and at 15 she wrote her first song under the name Snail Mail. In her teenage years, she would find local showcases and watch other musicians admiring their talent and trying to make connections. At just 16, she released her debut song Habitat on a local punk label known as Sister Polygon Records. Since releasing her first song, Jordan graduated highscool, toured the country, and opened for groups including Girlpool and Waxahatchee. She has soldout her own headline show and was featured in the New York Times discussing women in the punk industry. Her latest releases have been recorded and produced by Jake Aron and engineered by Johnny Schenke. Bandmates include drummer Ray Brown and bassist Alex Bass. Her popular songs include Pristine, Heat Wave, Speaking Terms, and Thinning Each month her listening rate rises and is at 500 thousand each month on Spotify as of now.
